Baby Lead Weaning?

Has anyone tried this? Or is thinking about trying it?

Obviously Riley is a whiley off food but just wanted to know what others thought about this

I semi did it. I started Mika on baby rice at 8 weeks and then pureed fruits for a while but at around 5 months i just kinda put stuff on her highchair table and let her pick what she wanted. It's not for everyone and obviously you have to keep an eye on them a bit more but i think it helped Mika be more independant and less picky

I like the sounds of it Will probably have 2 read more about it before the time that im ready 2 start weaning him

What age are they allowed baby rice? Summer guzzles milk like she's starved... it's terrible. I can't wait to start giving her proper food. You should see the looks she gives when me and my OH eat in front of her lol xx

Aww, i think they recommend 6months for weaning but if you speak to HV they may suggest doing it a little early (earliest being 4 months)

also, i did BLW with Harriet worked brilliantly! she never like the jar stuff anyways and just has what we eat, and she still eats with her fingers so its pretty messy haha! but shes learning with cutlery too x
